Miley Cyrus' Dad Billy Ray Comments On Miley's Performance

Miley shocked viewers and the celeb audience with her live comeback

More Love Less Hate': Miley Cyrus' Dad Billy Ray Takes To Twitter After Daughter's Car Crash VMAs Performance

Miley Cyrus is the talk of Twitter today after her shocking performance at Sunday night's MTV VMAs in Brooklyn, but it sounds like the star, who has received a torrent of backlash online, still has at least one cheerleader- her dad Billy Ray Cyrus.

The likes of Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez and Rihanna looked on in horror last night as Miley took to the stage for her rendition of comeback track We Can't Stop. The star screeched through her number one single, with lots of crotch grabbing, in just a nude bikini, before teaming up with Robin Thicke for his hit Blurred Lines.
The 20-year-old's car crash performance stole the show, for all the wrong reasons. Miley's devoted dad though didn't seem to notice, or care, about his daughter's controversial live comeback as he simply tweeted last night:

The vague tweet makes no reference to Miley or the VMAs but the conicidential timing, just hours after the VMAs, suggests Billy could have been referring to his daughter's headline-grabbing act.

Meanwhile the chart-topper's performance went down like a bomb with her fellow stars in the audience with Taylor Swift seen laughing all the way through.

Will Smith and his children Willow and Jayden had looks of confusion and horror on their faces that seemed to sum up how most people were feeling as they watched the craziness unfold.

Meanwhile those watching at home stormed Twitter with Nick Cannon tweeting: "Remind me never to let my kids into showbiz …Thanks".

Actress Brooklyn Decker summed it up with a simple "I’m so uncomfortable’ while Jamie King wrote "A certain mortification sweeps over me when I watch certain performers".
